Helga Graf was born in Gmunden / Upper Austria and in fact she has been sympathizing with drawing and painting since her time in school, but still it was as late as 2006 when she began to paint intensively. And since that time she attended courses at Mag. Art Bogdan Pascu and Mag. Art Anton Petz.
She greatly preferred to paint people. Beside portraits she transferred people across all different cultures in their daily life to the canvas. For all that, the multitude of her travels through different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa offered her the necessary motives.
Her preferred material was acryl. Strong and warm acrylic colors and the vital compositions are typical for her paintings. Beside her love for painting, her works showed her interest in the people, their way of life and their fates too.
Helga Graf died on April, 26th 2024, but in our thoughts and in her paintings she will remain.
